Hey Freakynuts MTB family from the US,

We have some unfortunate news for our friends in the United States. As of August 29, 2025, the U.S. government has ended the so-called “de minimis” rule, which previously allowed small packages under $800 to enter the country without import duties.

Thanks to U.S. government: since 29-09-2025 the so-called “de minimis” rule ended.

The result?
The result is that many carriers are stopping shipments to the USA, or long queues at customs are forming due to unclear regulations. So far, we’ve mainly received messages from our US customers about the additional duties they now have to pay and some delays with DHL deliveries. UPS remains the fastest option, though at a slightly higher cost.

Well… things weren’t necessarily easier in the past, but we’re adapting for you! Soon, our assortment will also be available through our distribution channel in Colorado, USA. This will save our American friends both time and money. Orders will then be shipped quickly and reliably from within the USA, avoiding long waits, expensive international shipping, and unexpected customs fees. That’s the last thing we want for our community.

We want to be clear: Deleting the MINI ME is completely out of our hands and depends entirely on the decisions of the U.S. government and the accompanying customs instructions. The end of the de minimis rule has created a lot of confusion among shippers and that confusion is affecting you, our customers.

We hope that clarity comes soon so we can start Cheap shipping to our American Freakynuts MTB fans again. In the meantime, please stay tuned to our channels for updates. The Cheap (15 euro) shipments to the USA are possible again as well as the UPS expeditet.

Thank you for your understanding, patience, and loyalty. We truly wish we could be shipping your Freakynuts orders across the ocean right now!

Keep shredding,
The Freakynuts Team
