The Freakynuts® GameChanger Multi-Reach Stem is the world’s first MTB stem to use a flip chip mechanism to adjust cockpit reach – a patent pending invention that introduces an entirely new category in mountain bike cockpit design.

The problem with every other stem

Every MTB stem ever made has one reach. If it doesn’t fit your riding position, you buy another one. Riders spend hundreds of dollars chasing the right length – and even then, one setup change can send you back to square one.

The GameChanger Multi-Reach Stem was built to end that.

How it works

The Freakynuts® GameChanger Multi-Reach Stem uses a precision-machined flip chip built into the stem body. Flip it one way and you get 35 mm reach. Flip it the other way and you get 45 mm. That’s it. One allen key. One hand. Done in seconds.

No structural compromise – the stem body is a single rigid CNC-machined unit. The flip chip sits at the interface and locks in place under full riding load. The stem is rock solid – zero play, zero flex under full riding load.

At launch, the stem ships with one flip chip giving you two positions: 35 mm and 45 mm. An optional add-on flip chip – available approximately two weeks after launch – unlocks the middle position of 40 mm, giving you three reach settings from one stem.

Compatible with both single crown and dual crown forks. Features a 35 mm handlebar clamp, with 31.8 mm reducers optionally available shortly after launch.

Want to ride more aggressively, put more pressure on the front wheel at high speed? Set it to 45 mm. Want quicker, snappier steering – for spins, whips, or technical funpark laps? Flip it to 35 mm for short, fast, powerful bar movements. Somewhere in between? The optional 40 mm add-on chip puts you right there. Some trails call for high speed and front wheel pressure – go long. Others call for lightness and agility – go short. The flip chip changes in seconds, so your setup can change with the trail.

Important: Dual Crown Fork Users

If you’re running a dual crown fork, do not cut your steerer tube too short. The Freakynuts® GameChanger Multi-Reach Stem requires sufficient clamping surface at each reach position to function correctly and safely. Leave extra steerer length now to keep all adjustment options open later – it’s a one-time decision that protects your investment in this system long-term.
